Adjustable Beds – Less Tossing & Turning promotes better sleep

Poor sleep and a lack of comfort often manifests itself as tossing & turning in bed and a restless night’s sleep. Apart from being tired in the morning, which can effect the rest of the day, restless sleep has also been linked to depression, heart disease, strokes, lung disorders, traffic and industrial accidents, and divorce.

By allowing various sleeping positions to be supported at the touch of a button, adjustable beds enhance relaxation, promote higher levels of comfort and so aid restful sleep.

Worst effected by tossing & turning is often the sleeping partner. A resent study at the University of Surrey found that when couples share a bed and one of them moves in his or her sleep, there is a 50% chance that their slumbering partner will be disturbed as a result.

Despite this, couples are reluctant to sleep apart, with only 8% of those in their 40s and 50s sleeping in separate rooms. The solution to this can be an adjustable bed, which actually allows both sides of the bed to be independently controlled, so both sleeping partners can access a more comfortable sleep while remaining in the same bed.
